There are numerous emerging applications for retail, restaurants and IoT. We will briefly overview the most significant, then focus on customer-facing technologies that directly impact revenues and profitability, and at the same time create customer engagement.  We'll talk about detecting, predicting and handling traffic volumes in the store or in the drive-thru, demographic impacts, and even the impact of external events. Using sensors and big data with machine learning and analytics; interacting with digital menu displays as well as other technologies in the hands of consumers, in the store, and in the cloud.
