How may be build empathy and support vulnerable communities by using storytelling, place-making, and unexpected positive social experiences in public art with creative technology at the core? Artist and Art Historian, Paige Dansinger explores vulnerable voices in museums, archives and World Heritage Sites. Based on the “Power of Vulnerability” TED Talk, and book by Brené Brown, which inspired Museum Computer Network panel, organized by Trish Oxford, on Vulnerability in Museums (2016), Paige Dansinger will present work on this topic, especially the role of how the Internet of Things may better support vulnerable communities, create space for new voices, and be agile enough to respond to and prevent potential crisis by creating sustainable strategies in social participatory public art and cultural experiences.
